My second hand stitched quilt

Have really enjoyed making this quilt- its is all hand pieced - I quilted in the ditch on the blades and then added buttons - love the colorway that I got from some oriental paper

I used a Tim Holtz backing paper inked with distress inks. I cut out the cage using cork and the little bird using grungepaper - both on my Vagabond using Tims dies. I inked the bird - stamped the wording and inkeed it and then added everything to the mountboard

Smell the Flowers

This is one of my pages for a swap I'm hosting on the Lotstodo forum.

I made my panel with Picket Fence Distress stains and a background stamp - when dry I inked it with chipped saphire distress ink - the stain acted as a sort of resist, I stamped my quote, inked the edges and layered it. I then stamped directly on to my mountboard again with Chipped Saphire and a mist of water. I added everything to the card and inked the edges, Finally I added a flower that I'd made up with bits in my drawer.
