Quadruple

 
Again used distress ink for the background - distressed the edges and added more ink
 
Used a Tim Holtz mask and added the background clock with DI
 
Stamped the main clock and heat embossed with black EP
 
Stamped the birds on the wire
 
Added rings with a bottle top and black gesso
 
Tore and added the Calendar
 
Did some faux stitching
 
Added chit chat words and outlined them
 
Finished by adding the metal letter Q , adding some mini staples and a bow through the top

W and lace

Background was created with distress inks
 
I added the quote and heat embossed it
 
Then came the messy bits I splattered distress stains, painted the top of a lid and used it as a stamp
 
Added some speckles
 
Put some lace along the bottom and inked it
 
Put a tie through the top and added the meta letter W and the words tiles
 
So there it is my W and Lace for the Wednesday Tag Challenge

If I Could Fly

I had a great messy time creating this page in my journal !!!
 
I used lots of Distress Stains and Gesso to begin with
 
I then put Modelling Paste through Stencils and when dried coloured them with Distress inks
 
I used more stencils and Distress Inks to create layers
 
I used Die cut waste for the butterflies and inked through them
 
The large letter stamping was done using Archival and my favourite Tim Holtz foam stamps I shadowed them with a Distress pen
 
I added some fine gauze the  bottom corner
 
The girl , a Queens Dresser Drawer stamp was stamped with archival on to card stock cut and inked
 
I added the stamped image and then put some tissue tape over the top
 
I did a bit more stamping here and there and added some rub ons and a chit chat word

PostCard

I added torn Dictionary pages to my postcard and then coloured with Spiced Marmalade Distress Stains
 
I put texture paste through some sequin waste and when dried used the same stain to colour
 
I circled words on the pages "Imagine, Motivation and Creation"
 
I die cut the butterflies using a Tim Die and my Vagabond I coloured them and then heat embossed with clear EP. I added the gems to finish them off and attached them to the card with silicone gel
 
I added the velum image with brads and added the rub on word "Love"
 
The Arrow is a grunge board piece that I inked and heat embossed using Distress EP

Altered Box

 This is what I started with
 
 
And this is how it finished

I started with the soap poder box and covered it with gesso a couple of times to hide the pattern
 
I then tore bits of masking tape and added them before colouring with Distress Stains
 
I put some Ranger Texture Paste through a stencil and when dry added Distress Sprays
 
I stamped the quotes on to tissue with Adirondack and added them with Mod Podge
 
I added some Autumn Leaf rub ons here and there
 
 
 
I made the flower with paper and a die using my Vagabond - I sprayed distress stains on to it and when dry added a bit of rub n buff
 
The Leaves were cut from Grunge Board inked and shaped and added with silicone gel
 
I finished off by adding some rub n buff to the corners and attaching the little handle with brads

mini notebook



I used Kraft card to make my little book I used glycerine and water to soften the Kraft and take on the leather look - I alternated between wetting it and scrunching it until I achieved a look I liked.
 
I then inked it with Walnut Stain Distress  Ink and put it through my Vagabond in an embossing folder
 
I added some more ink here and there
 
I put 2 signatures in by using my machine to sew them
 
I added the cork corners and a fastening to finish it off

Take a word - Window


Two posts today ladies - its the last day of my holidays today so I shall be back home tomorrow with all my own supplies - it certainly has been a challenge to use just one bag of supplies for 2 weeks !!!
 
 
For this challenge I started with my window I crumpled tissue and adhered it with PVA _ inked it and then added numbers through a stencil.
 
I stamped my images (Tim Holtz stamps) with archival and cut them out.
 
I added text paper to the back and stamped the globe directly on to it with Archival
 
I added the gents followed by the ticket, pen nibs and quote

P for Petals



Good morning ladies - today I am sharing a tag I made for the Friday Alphabet Challenge where the theme is P for Petals
 
My background was created with Shaded Lilac and Faded Jeans Distress Ink splashed with water and heat dried
 
I the put peacock Feathers DI through a stencil
 
I put DI on stamp and spritzed with water before stamping to give a water colour effect.
 
I stamped the butterfly with Archival
 
The quote was stamped with Archival on to card stock, torn and inked with Peacock Feathers DI
 
The flower was die cut using linen and burlap - a twist of string was put in the middle and a bead added. The flower was then coloured with Distress Pens. The leaf was die cut out of patterned paper and inked.
 
Jute was threaded through the top to finish the tag off

A walk in the woods


I used distress stains Brushed Olive and Rusty Hinge to create a base for my background.
 
I inked through a leaf stencil in places with Spiced Marmalade DI
 
I then added Distress inks Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain to my craft sheet - spritzed with water and the used the same leaf stencil to transfer the ink to the page.
 
I added the die cut trees and leaves and added chit chat words to the leaves on the LH tree
 
I inked through an Andy Skinner stencil to add the children
 
I stamped the bird with black Archival
 
The flowers and butterflies were cut in Burlap
 
I finished off by adding chit chat words, rub ons and lettering

J and Die cut

Wednesday taggers have the them J and Die cuts - I chose the word Journey for my tag
 
I created the background by putting distress inks on to craft sheet , misting the ink a little and then swiped my tag through continuing to pick up ink until I liked the look.
 
I stamped the main image with Versamark and heat embossed with black EP
 
The die cut heart was inked and the words "With all my heart" added
 
I cut snips out of chit chat words inked them and added them
 
Finished off with some jute string which I frayed

With a Flourish

The background was created using Distress Stains, stamping with distress ink and smearing Rock Candy with my finger.
 
I added the word Memory, a rub on, and then inked some more
 
The grunge board flourish was inked and then clear embossed
 
The photo was added using a fragment and brad
 
I then added some chit chat words and finished off with a wooden bow from my stash and some string

Sunday Postcard - add a frame

 
My background was created with distress stains from craft sheet
 
I inked through stencils with Peacock feathers distress ink
 
I stamped flourish with Archival
 
Brown heart was inked and clear embossed and inked again
 
Red heart was painted with acrylic and the rub on words were added
 
Frame heart was inked and a text stamp added
 
The Photo is on a music background
 
I embossed the Postcard wording, inked and added it with foam tape
 
I finished off by adding an envelope charm with a brad

Photo Inspiration - Mixed Media

This is what I created
 
I used distress Inks, stencils, Ranger texture paste, stamping with Adirondack, Die cuts that I cut in my vagabond and a fabric flower to create my journal page

And this is what I produced I picked out the gorgeous colours and worked around them. I am still on limited supplies being on holiday but I used what I have with me

Art Journal Living Beings



 Art Journal Journey this month has the challenge "Living Beings"
 
And oh what fun I had doing this journal page - I have limited supplies because I am on holiday in a caravan and only brought 1 bag of supplies with me
 
I used Distress stains for the background - did some inking through stencil
 
 
Stamping was done with Adirondack
 
 
The bottom right corner and the top left were cut with my vagabond before I came away
 
 
I added rub ons, pieces of ephemera and some splatters to finish it
 
There is still plenty room for journaling which I will do when I have finished the Journal I am currently using

Three Muses Couple

I inked the tag with Crushed Olive and Peacock Feathers Distress Stain - I then inked through an Andy Skinner stencil with Rusty Hinge Distress ink. I masked the images and stamped text with Archival

I added the metal word "Love" which is a brad

Finished off with green jute through the top then frayed it a bit

Sunday Stamper Purples



I embossed my tag in an embossing folder using my vagabond. Inked with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink (love this colour) and then heat embossed with clear EP

Stamping was done with Archival

Added Rub ons from Tim Holtz range

Finished with flower/leaf from the ideology range

Take a Word - Birds

 
Background - Alcohol Inks on glossy card stock
 
Stamped main image with Archival
 
Mounted on to tag
 
Used stitch roller stamp around the edges
 
Coloured Bird and Crown with Dabber paint using my finger and the rubbed steel wool over the top to take some of the paint off
 
Inked ribbon and made it into a bow to finish the piece off

September Tag

Tims tag for September is my favourite so far - I don't have all the things Tim has but I'm working on it. In the mean time I improvised

 
 
I used Honeycomb Alcohol Ink, Fixative and a number stencil for the background
 
The stamping was done with Archival
 
I used lots of Remnant Rubs to create interest
 
The butterflies were die cut in my Vagabond on patterned cardstock they were then inked with distress inks

Victor Violet
Iced Spruce
Wild Honey
 
I then added Clear Rock Candy here and there
 
I like how it turned out - do you ??

Girl Power

I created this background with Alcohol ink on acetate - I used Tim Holtz stamp with Fixative to stamp the flower in to the alcohol ink.

I stamped the silhouette on separate card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with black detail embossing powder - I inked around the edges after I had cut it out

The acetate was added to white card stock with brads and then mounted on to a black tag. The heart again a TH stamp was stamped with Stazon on to the front

A few fibres through the top finished it off

Ombre

Firstly I had to look what Ombre meant :):) when the Alphabet Challenge had that as its theme it means "graduating colour"
 
I used Distress Stains Dried Marmalade, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge to add the colour to my tag I flicked this with water and dried with kitchen roll before I dried it properly with my heat gun
 
I stamped my Tim Holtz stamps directly on to the tag with Archival and heat set.
 
I finished by adding the word (rub on lettering), the buttons and put some string through the top and dangled 2 little safety pins from it
 
I am entering this is the Alphabet Challenge - Ombre

Chalk Technique


I used Versamark, Tim Holtz stamps and white embossing powder to create my blackboard card.
 
I shadowed my work with white  water colour pencil to create "chalk" marks
 
I matted on to red card and then put on to white cardstock
 
I am entering this piece in the Creative Card Challenge (chalk technique)
 

3 Muses Autumn



I inked my tag with distress ink Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge and crumpled it up a bit I sprayed the tag with water flattened out dried and inked again
 
I stamped the image on to mount board with Archival Ink coloured with Distress ink and added the buttons
 
I added some feathers from my stash and added them with my Tiny Attacher
 
I googled the quote - printed out, inked and cut up and attached to tag

House



My entry for this weeks Artful Times Challenge where the theme is House

I used Acrylic paints and salt for my background

The house were cut with a Tim Holtz on the edge die in my Vagabond

Sun was stamped with Archival and some colour added with Distress Pen

Quote was stamped on to cardstock, inked and added with foam pads

The piece was mounted on to corrugated cardboard

I particularly enjoyed doing this one - Take a word has the theme Arch - it was a nice shape to use and its ages since I made arches

 
For the background I used Distress Inks - Scattered Straw, Dusty Concord and Faded Jeans
 
I did the clouds with water and rolled up tissue - the birds were stamped with Archival
 
I stamped the grasses with Peeled Paint DI
 
For the flowers I used peeled Paint and Barn Door DI I lightly spritzed them with water before stamping
 
The quote was stamped with Archival cut out, inked and added with foam pad
 
To finished off I added Rik Rak round the outside and mounted the arch on balck card stock

Simon Says

Monday Simon Says has challenged us this week to use Big or Bold stamping/colour

This is what I came up with



I used 2 of my favourite Distress Inks Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade to create the background - I flicked with water and dried.
 
I stamped Butterfly Girl (Queens Dresser Drawer)
with Archival Ink
 
 
I placed a mask over her whilst I added to the background with stencils and distress inks
 
I attached the piece to black card stock
 
Added a word from the Remnant Rubs set and finished with a star attached with a brad
