And another

Another page

Journal page

I used Rangers Dabbers and Gesso to create the background for this page - I then added some stamping and some bits cut from magazines. I used a music stencil and stencils I'd made for my hearts and then coloured them with dabbers and outlined them - the three hearts on the left were a gift from my friend Joy. I fiished off by adding my wording which I had generated on my pc using a new font I've just got - again a lot of fun was had creating the page

Art Journalling

I had lots of fun creating this page - used loads of paint and got real messy !!! I started my page with a coat of gesso and then gradually added paints to colour it. I added some cuttings with Mod Podge and then more paint - I painted through stencils and sequin waste - I outlined some of my ephemera with my journalling pen before adding my journalling - I love the textures on this page although I do think its a little dark in places

More pages

I made a little pocket on this page and put some hearts in it. The hearts were cut from a collaged art sheet that my friend Joy had done and used to wrap up some goodies she sent me.

Journal page

Another page in the style of Teesha Moore - I just love her videos on utube and have learned such a lot from her. She also has some fab collage sheets to buy and I just can't get enough of them she's a wonderful artist

Remains of the Day Journal

I have joined an on line group with Mary Ann Moss to make a journal entitled Remains of the Day. I created my covers by stitching various pieces of cotton to each other and to a backing to make like a pillow case. I then added a stiffener and stitched the whole thing together. My tie around was again made with scraps of material sewn to each other. - The journal will be filled with all sorts of pages and pockets - I'm busy working on them now and having a great time

16 page journal - page 1

I followed Teesha Moores tutorial on utube to produce a 16 page journal out of one sheet of 22 x 30 insh water colour paper. This is the first page I have completed and am quite pleased with the result.

altered CD

I altered this CD for a swap on the Lotstodo Forum - I coated it with gesso - then applied a coat of PVA and whilst still wet dropped alcohol inks into it. I stamped and inked my leaves and added them along with a flower - I finished off by putting a hole in for the hanger with my crop o dile and then adding a few bedazzles to the outer rim.

She canvas

Such a long time since I blogged - I have been very busy with lots of arty projects but have been a bit lacking in getting things finished - the weather has been so nice here in Oldham that I have been taking advantage of it.I've also been very busy with a patchwork quilt that I am hand piecing - a mammoth task !!!

Anyways here's another one of my She girls that I just finished off this week - the background was created with dressmaking pattern coverd with lots of paints and inks - some brayering some rubons and lots of stencilling. My doll was cut out from script paper - I then added cotton to all the buttons and added them along with the ribbon - I added the face from a cut out I finished off the piece with the wording
