ART BOOK

I've created this book to put samples of Techniques, Backgrounds and Stuff :):):) in. I sloshed about 4 coats of watered down gouache on both sides of the cardboard 28 pages the other night and oh what messy fun I had !!!! For the time being I have put the book together with book rings so that I can easily take pages out to work on. When its finished I may put a more permanent binding on. - Looking forward to filling it

Altered box

I started as usual by sandpapering and covering with Gesso. I then put a coat of black acrylic on followed by a coat of red acrylic - then my crackle medium - the crackles weren't showing as much as I would have liked - think it was a bit too cold - so I enhanced them with ink. My Lettering was all covered in various inks and edged with black to give a worn look

A close up of the corner

The inside back of my box

And for those that would like to see what I've put inside - all my charms and stuff !!!! :):):)I made the dividers with Foamboard

Top Right - top off my spritzer bottle

Bottom left - Bubble wrap attached to acrylic block

Bottom Right - elastic bands wound around acrylic block

I like the look of the elstic band one the best although I think they all have scope

I then, using Scotch Tie Downs, strung some beads on wire and wound it round the outer edge. I added some seed beads with Glossy Accents - the edging is distressed and inked with Aged Mahogony Distress Ink

Happy Birthday Sunday Stamper

Altered Frame

I embossed my metal in a Damask patterned Cuttlebug folder and through my Bigshot - I then attached it to my frame with Red Line Tape - I used Ten Second Studio tools to tidy the corners and edges. I then painted it with Back Acrylic and took off the excess with kitchen roll.

The 4 x 4 within the frame has a background created with Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Dried Marigold Distress Ink and water splashes.I stamped my image (Hampton Art) with Black Stazon.

To finish off I rubbed a little gold rubbnbuff around the sides of the frame

Faux Porcelain

Top - Double sided paper
Middle - Grunge paper
Bottom - Vellum

I followed Sherry Cheever (Split Coast Stampers)tutorial to create my porcelain flowers. I didn't have the nestie that Sherry used so had to improvise - I made them in Grungepaper, Vellum and Double sided paper - The easiest to do was the double sided paper because of its pliability. It was just a case of preparing and putting the petals in to melt pot before putting the flowers together - great effect - one that I wanted to try
