Alterations Fanciful Flight

I love all Tims Alterations dies and have quite a few of them now. This is what I did with Fanciful Flight.

You will need the following supplies.

I cut the die using my big shot and grunge board - you will need to cut 2 of them.

I placed the base pieces on double sided adhesive backing paper and cut round them. I then put mica flakes all over them and using my little scrubber took the loose ones off

I covered the top pieces with versamark and heat embossed with Fine Detail Black - I did this twice to give a nice layer.

This is my finished butterfly all put together I used Glossy Accents to attach the body piece.

All ready to use on any project - I'm going to use it on a canvas but thats for another day

My mirror was altered with lots of pieces of Utee left over from several different projects - some beeswax - buttons, beads and anything else I had lying around lol.

I'm quite pleased with it - I covered the mirror part to take my photo's

The bird and cage were cut with Tims Alterations Dies and my Bigshot I then used Weathered Wood and Walnut stain and the Rusted Enamel Technique on them. The words were done on my Dymo and then distressed. I finished off by adding 2 little charm butterflies and threading raffia through the cage.

I put some Crackle paint down the LH side and then when dry rubbed on some Walnut stain to show the cracks. I stamped the quote (Tim Holtz) with Black Soot DI and then went all around the page using the same ink and my pen stamp. Grungy page 6 C of C week 10

This is my 6th page for the grungy book swap I'm in being hosted by Heather Fenn Edwards.

I inked my page with Pine needles and shabby shutters distress ink using one of Tims small flourish masks. The hinge from Tims Hardware Findings Alterations die was cut from grungeboard and then covered with Vintage Phots Distress Stickles. The Flourish was covered with Spiced Marmalade Distress Stickles. My main Image (Inkadinkado) was stamped on to mountboard and heat embossed with Distressed Embossing Powder before inking with Pine Needles DI. To finish my page off I added some press studs and one of Tims metal plates. I like this page - its a pity really that the pics don't do it justice.

Week 10 of the Compendium of Curiosities challenge at Stdio L3 is to use Distress Stickles - I've used them twice on my project.
