One World One Heart

Its here again for the fifth and last time One World One Heart blog hop organised by the wonderful Lisa Swifka

This is what I'm giving away - hope you like it

I love all kinds of art but in particular mixed media - I am at my happiest when I'm messy and inky !!!

I used Tims dies to cut out the pieces for my hanging !!I then created my background with masks and Distress inks. I then added my images and book plates and finished off with my butterfly attached with silicone glue and my wording. I attached all the pieces to each other with jump rings and finally added the whole piece to a piece of twig to give it some strength

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog - am looking forward to coming along to yours and seeing your work

This post will stay at the top until 17th February when I will, with the help of Random .org, choose my winner and let them know - to see my other work please scroll down

Created By Hand, Dezinaworld,One Stitch at a Time

I covered some mountboard with various materials and then added some RikRak and fancy edging. I then added some grungeboard that I had put through my bigshot with an embossing folder and inked. I stitched my main image (Dezinaworld) on to another piece of material which I frayed. I finished off by adding the inked and stamped scroll (Crafty Individuals) and then attached some lace as a hanger and to the bottom as a border.

I am entering this into the Created by Hand Challenge - Stitching and the Dezinaworld Spot Prize Challenge - Story - I think this picture tells a story :):)and the One Stitch at a Time Challenge - Pretty lace or bling

Altered shell

Last year whilst on holiday in Brugge I was served my starter on this beautiful shell in a restaurant that we love to visit. I brought the shell home with me and yesterday set about altering it. I added colour with alcohol inks. Added my image (Crafty Individuals) to a doiley that I had inked with distress inks. I then added shells that I had collected on the beaches of Spain and my home town of South Shields I adhered them with silicone. A bit of string finished off my collage. I then added 2 ringpulls to the top and threaded them with some suade ribbon that I added beads to act as stoppers.

I really like how it turned out - hope you do too
