This is my entry for the 9th Compendium of Curiosities challenge where this time we are working on page 63 The Crew have provided us with lots of inspiration and all are worth a visit - you won't be disappointed
The challenge is sponsored by Inspiration Emporium who have a prize of 50$ to spend in their on line store
The Curiosity Crew also pick a winner who will receive lots of Tim goodies from Mario
Doing the background for this canvas was lots of crafty inky fun. I started by coating with gesso and then adding some torn text paper. I followed that with crumpled tissue. Colour was added with distress stains. I also used stencils, painted with an old credit card and put some more gesso on with my finger
I then followed Tim Holtz's technique for using stamps and framelits which can be found in Tim's book Compendium of Curiosities 111
The book is available from lots of outlets within the UK or s signed copy can be ordered from the king himself HERE
What a lovely canvas you created for the challenge! love the blue/yellow background and and the layered Eiffel tower and butterflies!
