She Doll Number 2

For this doll I used Corrugated cardboard as my base. I covered this with old print, music sheet and a couple of old tags which I adhered with mod podge. I then gessoed over the top and using stencils and Color wash spray added my lettering. I then added texture paste through sequin waste - did some stamping here and there and added some dry brush Ivory Acrylic. a few rubons were added and then another coat of mod podge. She was cut out from scraps of print and patterned paper. The buttons on the top are rubons - I added some Acrylic and some roller stamping. I painted and highlighted her hair added her wings, a bit of lace around her neckline and a bow.I then added the wording and dry brushed them with acrylic - The "when you smile" wording are rub ons, I am having such fun with this course - love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fabric covered book

I stamped on to fabric with Stazon and then stitched 2 layers of cheescloth over the top - I cut away the aperture for the image and then stitched on some lace - I then glued it all to the book cover and finished off by adding a scrap and a button. it makes a delightful little notebook - nice and light for popping in handbag

Altered Frame

Love the way this frame has turned out - it was a charity shop find. I Painted it first with gesso - sanded it and then painted it with gold acrylic - when this dried I put on a coat of black gesso and then sanded and rubbed bits of black off. The tapestry inside the frame was a little find whilst on holiday in Belgium

Beeswax Collage

I just love the smell of beeswax in my craft room !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was inspired to do this canvas by Hels article in the Craft Stamper. I did all my stamping on to tissue using a variety of stamps and stzon - I then coated my canvas firstly with some colour using color wash sprays - I then coated it with beeswax that I had heated in my melt pot. I added my tissue and used my heat gun to re- melt the wax so that it came through the tissue. I then added all my bits and pieces again only using bees wax ( I used NO glue on this piece). I finished it off by using distress inks here and there and then buffing it all up.The pen nibs that you can see on the left hand side were a prezzie from my friend Shairon all the way from France !!!

Created By Hand, Dezinaworld,One Stitch at a Time

I covered some mountboard with various materials and then added some RikRak and fancy edging. I then added some grungeboard that I had put through my bigshot with an embossing folder and inked. I stitched my main image (Dezinaworld) on to another piece of material which I frayed. I finished off by adding the inked and stamped scroll (Crafty Individuals) and then attached some lace as a hanger and to the bottom as a border.

Altered shell

Last year whilst on holiday in Brugge I was served my starter on this beautiful shell in a restaurant that we love to visit. I brought the shell home with me and yesterday set about altering it. I added colour with alcohol inks. Added my image (Crafty Individuals) to a doiley that I had inked with distress inks. I then added shells that I had collected on the beaches of Spain and my home town of South Shields I adhered them with silicone. A bit of string finished off my collage. I then added 2 ringpulls to the top and threaded them with some suade ribbon that I added beads to act as stoppers.

I really like how it turned out - hope you do too
